Words carry weight. As women, our lives are full of opportunities to speak – over children, husbands, friends, and even ourselves. Yet, how often do we let our declarations be shaped by fear, doubt, or discouragement rather than faith?
The Bible reminds us of the power held in what we say. Our words reflect what we believe, but they also have the power to shift our mindset and align us with the truth of God’s Word.
The word declaration means more than just speaking – it means proclaiming with boldness and authority. When we declare the promises and character of God, we’re not just reciting words. We’re standing in agreement with Heaven, even when our circumstances don’t look like it yet.
As daughters of the King, we have the right and responsibility to declare God’s truth over our lives. In moments of weakness, we can declare His strength. In seasons of uncertainty, we can declare His faithfulness. In times of fear, we can declare His peace. Not based on wishful thinking, but on the solid, unchanging foundation of His Word.
This month, we’ll tune our hearts to the truth of Scripture. As we walk through each week, speak these verses aloud. Let them become your battle cry and reminder of who God is and who you are in Him. Your voice carries authority when it is rooted in the Him. Use it well.
Week 1: Peace in Him
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
–Numbers 6:24-26
Declare this over your life daily – and the lives of those you love. These words aren’t just poetic, they’re a powerful blessing straight from the heart of God.
Practice: No matter what chaos surrounds you, God’s peace and protection are your inheritance. Speak this blessing over yourself and your loved ones, and let it shape your outlook with hope and calm.
Week 2: Faithful is He
For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
–Psalm 100:5
Declare God's character. When life feels uncertain, anchor yourself in what never changes – His goodness, love, and faithfulness. Take confidence in knowing from past to present, His goodness has been and always will be there.
Practice: This verse is a reminder that no matter the season, God has not forgotten you. He is faithful to you and to generations after you. Speak this over your legacy.
Week 3: Awesome is He
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
–Psalm 19:1-2
Let creation inspire your declaration. Every sunrise and star-filled sky is a reminder of the awesomeness of God. If the skies declare His glory, how much more should we?!
Practice: Let your life be a living declaration of His wonder and creativity. The awesomeness of nature speaks to His glory, and our lives should do the same.
Week 4: In Him is Light
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
–1 John 1:5
Shadows are nothing more than evidence of the light. Have you ever gone through a dark season – maybe you’re in one right now? Remember that He is light, and in Him, there is no darkness at all.
Practice: Declare light over every shadow. Speak light into every situation – your home, your thoughts, your relationships. God’s presence brings clarity, truth, and victory. Declare it boldly: God is light, and He is with me.

Have you ever made a statement you knew without a doubt was true? One of those statements you’d bet all your money on — a truth you were so sure you could stand on.
These kinds of declarations aren’t easy to come by. And where do we even find such statements of absolute and unchanging truth nowadays?
The world is full of doubts and skepticism. People giving their word and actually keeping it seems to have become an art of the past. Deceit and lies are not just in the news, but business, politics, and even personal relationships. Unfortunately, we see it in religious organizations, too.
Abnormal and untruth have become the new normal. I recall my mom saying, "These days, if your parents say they love you…Check it out.” It was her way of saying the world is on tilt and nobody keeps their word.
My dad, on the other hand, would say, “Son, pay no attention to the man delivering the message, but pay attention to the message.” It was his way of teaching the need to discern whether words spoken are full of truth or not.
How do we avoid this unnatural and untruthful way of life? Jesus stated in John 8:31-33 " If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
This month is all about declaration. Jesus’s declarations are always true, foundational, unwavering, and freeing. For the next 4 weeks, let’s speak — with confidence — the words that Jesus has given us to declare.
Week 1: Declare a Blessing
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
–Numbers 6:24-26
How do we let the light and truth of Jesus in our hearts? We allow his power and light to reflect from him in us. We speak his blessing over ourselves and our loved ones.
Reflect: What am I doing to empty myself this week and allow his radiance to reflect on me? Are people seeing my great efforts as my own or as a reflection of Jesus in me? Where is my "word" in conflict with the Word?
Week 2: Declare His Goodness
For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
–Psalm 100:5
He is good. Period. No matter how hard, confusing, or frustrating life gets, we declare His goodness as a foundational truth to the way we choose to see our world.
Reflect: Do I take God at His word? Do I doubt Him? What am I doing to try and mend things to fit me and my word over God and His declarations and His Word?
Week 3: Declare Him in His Handiwork
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
–Psalm 19:1-2
God's declarations are not always spoken. We can see His glory declared throughout nature – His magnificence in the Heavens! Let's spend some time this week taking the time to see the glory of God in nature's declarations.
Reflect: When is the last time I’ve paused and looked around to really take in the beauty of His handiwork? Can I find time this week to catch a sunrise, sunset, a thunderstorm, a seascape, fireflies at night, or birds chirping in the morning – and see Him in all of it?
Week 4: Declare His Light
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
–1 John 1:5
It is easy and tempting to get caught up in a world that offers chaos, division, temptation, and confusion. The world presses in on us, but we are called to resist.
Reflect: How often am I exhausted after a day in the life of living in a fallen world? Do I revive my spirit by drawing close to Jesus, who is the light and has overcome the darkness? What am I going to do differently this week to draw closer to the light?

In a few words, we can hype someone up, tear ourselves down, or completely change somebody’s feelings. What we say matters – even more, what we say about Jesus can shape our entire reality. That’s what this month’s devo is all about: declaration.
To declare something in the spiritual sense means to say it with confidence. Not because everything’s perfect, but because we trust in the One who is. The Bible is packed with truth about who God is, who you are, and what He’s promised for your life. And one of the most powerful habits we can have is to declare what God says is true.
The world is constantly shouting lies like “you’re not enough,” “no one understands you,” or “things won’t get better.” Declaring God’s truth is like turning up the volume on something better – hat you’re valuable, loved, and secure. That there’s great purpose for your life.
This month, instead of just reading verses, speak them out loud. Write them on your mirror, say them when you’re anxious, pray them over your friends. Watch what happens when your words line up with God’s Word. Your heart, your mood, and your faith will grow stronger.
Week 1: Peaceful
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
–Numbers 6:24-26
God sees you and cares for you. This blessing isn’t just pretty, it’s personal. God wants to bless you, protect you, and give you peace. When you feel stressed or unseen, say this verse out loud.
Pray: God, as I declare these words over my life, let me settle into the deep peace and security that you want to give me – in all situations and circumstances.
Week 2: Faithful
For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
–Psalm 100:5
His love doesn’t quit. People change, plans fall through, and emotions go up and down. But God is always good. Think back to as far in your family as you know…a grandparent, great-grandparent, great-great grandparent?! His faithfulness stretches from way back then to you right now. Declare this when life feels confusing. He’s been faithful before. He’ll be faithful again.
Pray: God, you knew me before I was ever made, and you know the situations and pressures I’m facing right now. Let me experience Your love and faithfulness as I welcome you into my life.
Week 3: Awesome
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
–Psalm 19:1-2
Even the sky can’t stay quiet. Every sunrise and starry night is a shoutout to His awesomeness. If creation is praising Him, we can too!
Pray: God, let my life declare who You are – through my words, my actions, the way I treat others, and my attitude.
Week 4: Light
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
–1 John 1:5
God is light. Life can feel dark sometimes – full of pressure, drama, or just unknowns. But this verse reminds us: God is light, and there’s no darkness in Him.
Pray: God, I will speak out loud of your goodness, reminding myself and others that we don’t have to figure it out alone. Your light will always lead the way. We are children of the King, speaking truth that brings hope, peace, and light wherever we go.
