The Real Story Behind LoveJesus
LoveJesus began during a season of struggle, not success.
In the summer of 2023, after moving our family from Minnesota to the Nashville area, Derick Uecker found himself in one of the hardest spiritual seasons of his life. He still believed in Jesus, but emotionally and spiritually, he felt distant. Faith had become routine instead of relationship.
“I was going through the motions in my faith, but I had never felt so distant,” Derick shared.
It was in that quiet, difficult season that everything changed.
Derick describes hearing God speak clearly and simply:
“Teach people to love Me.”
There was no product idea, no business plan, and no intention to start a company. There was only a calling.
What LoveJesus Is
LoveJesus officially launched in 2023 as a subscription-based devotional service.
Each month, subscribers receive a box that includes:
- A four-week Christian devotional
- Thoughtfully selected physical items that help bring Scripture to life
- Simple tools meant to slow people down and create space with God
The boxes are intentionally not flashy or trendy. Each item is chosen to support reflection, prayer, and a deeper relationship with Jesus.
Past boxes have included:
- A small oil lamp to illustrate Jesus as the Light of the World
- Honey to reflect Scripture describing God’s Word as sweet
- Everyday objects meant to connect faith to daily life
What LoveJesus Is Not
LoveJesus is not about:
Religious performance, “Feel-good” faith, Selling inspiration without substance, Building a brand for profit alone
As Derick said, “This isn’t something we live on. It’s not about the money. But I feel more purpose in this than anything I have ever done.”
Before each shipment, we pray over the boxes. If we feel led to change a devotional topic, even at the last minute, we do.
We don’t want to send boxes quickly.
We want to send boxes faithfully.
Our Mission
LoveJesus exists to help people move from believing in Jesus to truly loving Him.
Not louder faith.
Not perfect faith.
Not rushed faith.
Just honest, personal relationship with Jesus, in the middle of real life.
